Eight years ago, local Mississippian Iesha began her dream of a curated boutique for her community. She and a friend joined together to sell hand-selected clothing as a side business to their main careers, and Charmed Boutique was born. As with any venture, it became difficult to devote enough time to the boutique. Iesha's friend made the difficult decision to step away, and Iesha continued the journey on her own. Iesha started selling her merchandise at events, pop-up shops, and hair shows throughout the South in her mobile boutique. Through her travels, she was able to build the connections and support to open a pop-up in Northpark in 2018.

What began as a weekend pop-up soon developed into a storefront lease in the mall before the holiday season later that year. Iesha managed the new space by herself for almost six months before hiring Tiana, who’s been at her side since. The business thrived and the boutique’s online presence skyrocketed, so an expansion naturally followed. Iesha’s next step was to create a sister boutique that would be more inclusive for her plus-size customers. Platinum Plus N Shoes was slated to open in March of 2020, but as with many things in all our lives, the opening was postponed due to the pandemic.

During lockdown, Iesha honed her entrepreneurial savvy and renovated her mobile Charmed bus that had been formerly used for her event pop-ups in earlier years. She also bought a delivery van that became central to her new, same-day delivery boutique. She poured her passion into connecting with her community through safe ways to shop. And although Platinum Plus N Shoes remained closed throughout 2020, it celebrated its first full calendar year at the end of 2022.

Each boutique is a representation of Iesha’s passion and creative style. The vibrant colors greet you as you enter along with a warm welcome from the staff. Each store boasts a large selection of carefully selected clothes, shoes, socks, lingerie, and accessories like bags, belts, and hats. The style is fun and eclectic, but each piece was chosen with the customer’s aesthetic in mind. Shoppers can expect to receive the same exceptional experience at Charmed Boutique or Platinum Plus N Shoes. The latter offers merchandise inclusive to plus-size clientele with sizes ranging from 1x to 3x.

Charmed Boutique is located upstairs by Dillard’s on the south entrance and around the corner from Kids Foot Locker. Platinum Plus can be found a short walk down the hall from Charmed and across from H&M. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Customers can also purchase online to have items shipped to their homes.
